Sculptured pieces are locally made by Barbara Contini and Patrick McDonnell in our small workshop in Nicasio, California. Our foucus is on interesting and beautiful wood, and the stories the wood can tell. Therefore, each piece is uniquely designed to highlight the wood's features so the story of the life of the tree can be seen.
Products to Be Used
All pieces are made using durable hardwood, most frequently walnut, black acacia or oriental acacia. Almost all wood we use is reclaimed from either local land management or orchard recycling.
All products are designed for regular use. They are all finely sanded and then finished to bring out the features of the wood and enhance the use. All food contact products use food-safe oils waxes.
Who we are
Come see us at the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival during the weekend of September 16 and 17
All our bowls, bread and cheese boards and other pieces are meant to be used. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and allow the wood to dry. As with all wood products, do not soak in water or clean in the dishwasher. If the wood becomes a little dry, simply apply a wood safe oil or beeswax to return its original luster. Any problems or questions, feel free to contact us.
